Materials Engineer Asc - E1 Early Career

Evaluates technical and economic factors, recommending engineering and manufacturing actions for attainment of design objectives of process or product by applying knowledge of material science and related technologies. Reviews plans for new products and factors, such as strength, weight, and cost to submit material selection recommendations ensuring attainment of design objectives. Plans and implements laboratory operations to develop material and fabrication procedures for new materials to fulfill product cost and performance standards.

Confers with producers of materials, such as metals, ceramics, and polymers, during investigation and evaluation of materials suitable for specific product applications.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Material Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college/university.

Internship or prior work experience in the field of engineering.

This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

• Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (Specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.)
• Knowledge of Materials and Processes for product development, improvement, design, application and production.
• Experience with wire, cable, and harness assembly and fabrication.

Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00
