Shift Manager, Cage

Supervises and coordinates activities of Cage Cashier Supervisors, Main Bankers, Team Member Bankers and Cage Cashiers on assigned shift.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that assigned shift team members provide superior guest service to external and internal guest.
• Ensures proper Casino Cage coverage by completion of weekly schedule for assigned shift.
• Responsible for reviewing postings daily for any procedural changes.
• Responsible for reviewing posted schedules daily to ensure proper attendance.
• Responsible for working assigned schedule, including overtime.
• Assists in training team members to ensure conformance to internal controls, standard procedures and practices.
• Updates guest accounts in casino computer system, and processes credit, safekeeping and front money transactions for casino guests.
• Develops and issues corrective action with team members on assigned shift.
• Audits shift paperwork on a random basis to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Performs random audits of cash and chip banks, and ensures compliance of team members with gaming regulations and department procedures.
• Protects Casino and Tribal assets by monitoring the performance of the team members on assigned shift.
• Ensures supply of cash on hand meets cashiers daily needs for guests transactions and machine fills.
• Ensures that mandatory and recommended retraining for variances and procedural violations is done in a timely manner.
• Tracks attendance for team members on assigned shift, and ensures that corrective action is taken in accordance with casino policy.
• Ensures that assigned shift is in full compliance with Title 31 requirements, and that all logs and reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists operating departments to ensure timely and efficient guest service.
• Cooperates with team members on other shifts to provide consistent application of Casino procedures and regulations.
• Conducts staff meetings of cage shift team members, and confers with subordinate personnel to discuss operational problems or explain procedural changes or practices.

Qualifications:

• 10-key skills with at least 6 months of prior cashiering experience, related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other duties may be assigned.

Pay range $64,600 to $84,000 per year.

Shift Differential:
Non‑Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am.

Education and experience required: 10‑key skills with at least 6 months of prior cashiering experience, related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This is not a smoke‑free workplace. Although we employ state‑of‑the‑art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment.
