Supervises and coordinates activities of Main Bankers, Team Member Bankers and Cage Cashiers engaged in servicing Casino customers for their assigned shift; acts as Main Banker, Team Member Banker or Cage Cashier when assigned.
- Adjusts scheduling as needed for adequate coverage.
- Reviews, enforces and follows Cage Cashier procedures during their shift.
- Responsible for imprest (set amount) cashier drawer as assigned during their shift.
- Responsible for reviewing posting daily for any procedural changes.
- Responsible for working assigned schedule, including overtime.
- Updates guest accounts in casino computer system, and authorizes and processes credit, check cashing, safekeeping and front money transactions for casino guests.
- Trains, evaluates performance, and recommends discipline of cashiers on their assigned shift.
- Ensures that assigned shift team members provide superior guest service to external and internal guest.
- Develops for Cage Shift Managers review, the corrective action counseling notices for team members on assigned shift, and issues to team members as assigned by Cage Shift Manager.
- Audits shift paperwork on a random basis to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Performs random audits of cash and chip bank, and ensures compliance of team members with gaming regulations and department procedures.
- Protects Casino and Tribal assets by monitoring the performance of the team members on assigned shift.
- Verifies the count of Cage banks which are out of balance to reconcile variances, and prepares investigation paperwork for subsequent review of management personnel.
- Tracks attendance for team members on assigned shift, and ensures that corrective action is taken in accordance with casino policy.
- Ensures that assigned shift is in full compliance with Title 31 requirements, and that all logs and reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assists operating departments to ensure timely and efficient guest service.
- Cooperates with team members on other shifts to provide consistent application of Casino procedures and regulations.
10-key skills with at least 6 months of prior cashiering experience. Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Pay range $23.00 - $29.90 per hour
- Shift Differential:
Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
This is not a smoke free workplace. Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment.
