City Venue Representative
As the City’s Venue Representative during Railyard Live concerts and other City events, this position will have general knowledge of the key aspects of each event and facility, will be able to promptly address/refer any issues that may arise, and will regularly engage with City Venues staff and seasonal event staff. In addition to general oversight of assigned Venues and Events, they will facilitate other City event seasonal staff, assist with all event staff functions when possible, coordinate with performers, production, concessions, and janitorial, ensure site is cleaned at end of event, and lock all relevant City buildings.
Typical hours from 5/6pm to 11pm Fridays and Saturdays from May – September.
During Community-partnered events, the Venue Representative will be responsible on-site for the oversight of the City’s event partner’s setup and teardown, facilitating event partners and vendor compliance with facility use policies. Event times vary, but are typically finished with teardown by 9-10pm. Typically 10-15 Community-partnered events per year.
During City film screenings, the Venue Representative will be responsible for general event management and ticketing supervision, facilitating other seasonal event staff, as well as serving as a backup for setup, teardown of equipment, and if City Venues staff are unavailable, video and audio operation.
Venue Representatives will be scheduled in rotation so that available staff and teams can lend assistance at the estimated 70 plus events this season.
