Description of the PositionResponsible for the overall repair and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical slot machines. Team Member will work under general supervision. Carries out responsibilities while relying on experience and very good judgment to perform the functions of the job.
Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:- All team members are obligated to support and uphold the Valley View Casino & Hotel’s Standards of Excellence, Mission and Vision Statements as outlined in the Team Member Guide to Success.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times, resolving guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction. Greet guests in a courteous and caring manner using personalized service.
- Responsible for the repair, overhaul and proper preventative maintenance of all electrical and mechanical slot machines in accordance with gaming regulations.
- Responsible for the floor repair and proper preventative maintenance of all slot machines, including cleaning machines, overhauls, etc.

- Handles the initial set‑up and check out of new slot machines.
- Assists in the breakdown, relocation and reset‑up of machines and stands to be relocated.
- Assists Slot Floor Person in verifying jackpots and fills as needed.
- Assists in ensuring machine integrity when jackpots occur and at other times requested.
- Maintains a working knowledge of company facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise guests and fellow Team Members of same, whenever possible.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Responsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Adheres to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years of experience in slot machine repair and maintenance or related field or one year of experience as Slot Technician I.
- Working knowledge of primary game setups and RAM clears.
- Strong understanding of electronic and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws and attendant regulations as well as the Company’s internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and guest service skills.
- Ability to speak and understand the English language.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and policies and procedure manuals written in the English language.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form referring back to established guidelines and policies and procedures.
