Join EY as a Senior Manager in the GPS Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice. In this role you will lead creative, strategic client engagements across the Federal GPS sector service lines and build relationships to generate new business.
OpportunityEY’s Government & Public Sector practice offers consulting and audit services to State, Local and Education (SLED) clients, helping them achieve mission outcomes and delivering measurable results through high‑quality work and innovative solutions.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Actively pursue business development activities, develop proposal responses, and manage engagement deliverables.
- Collaborate with multiple service lines and build relationships to identify cross‑service opportunities.
- Travel frequently to meet client stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with advisory client personnel.
- Direct field work and manage assurance staff performance.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of governmental accounting, GASB standards, and related concepts.
- Develop people through delegation, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster an innovative, team‑oriented work environment.
- Use technology to enhance service delivery.
- Identify opportunities to apply EY’s services across lines.
- U.S. CPA license in your work state.
- 10+ years of post‑college experience in financial audit and advisory for SLED clients.
- In‑depth knowledge of U.S. Governmental GAAP, GASB, OMB guidance and the Single Audit.
- Proficiency in ACFR, Annual Financial Statements, and Single Audit Report preparation.
- Experience with grants management and budgetary reporting.
- Business development experience in the SLED space.
- Experience with large regional or national Non‑Profit clients is a plus.
- Excellent project management, communication, negotiation, and team leadership skills.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher.
- Travel flexibility up to 30% for federal practice or 80% for state/local practice.
- CGFM and/or CDFM credentials.
