Senior Staff Accountant

As the Senior Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing data, and providing insights to support decision-making within the Business Management department. The ideal candidate will collaborate directly with divisional leaders, lead client meetings, and have years of experience in Financial and Tax Accounting. You will serve as a key contributor to the team, have advanced knowledge of accounting principles, and possess excellent analytical skills.

You are a leader who embraces teamwork while partnering effectively with all project stakeholders. The selected candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:

• Oversee financial statements preparation and analysis.
• Supervise accounting processes and procedures.
• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Review and approve journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff.
• Develop and implement financial controls.
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for the Partners.
• Identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Review and correct financial statements and general ledgers.
• Review client cash flow reporting packages.
• Prepare/review tax packages and an understanding of tax deadlines to ensure tax payments and filings are made in a timely manner.
• Review 1099 packages, Los Angeles City Business renewals, Business Property Statement filings and any other government/local filings.

• Agil Link experience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Competency in reading and recording Brokerage accounts
• Ability to work with complex financial data and perform data analysis
• Knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial reporting requirements
• Ability to prepare client meeting packages
• Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders

• Four + years of accounting and business management experience.
• BSc/BA in business management, accounting, finance, or relevant field, MSc/MA, CFP and/or CPA is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of CCH systems.
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Basic Tax knowledge (personal and business)
• Payroll Knowledge
• Entertainment experience is a plus.

• Frequent use of hands and reaching with hands and arms.
• Regularly talking, hearing, seeing, and sitting.
• Moderate to loud noise level.
• Risk of electrical shock.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
