Job OverviewIn this role, you will assist the agricultural industry in Colusa County to navigate laws and regulations surrounding production agriculture, providing assistance in obtaining proper licensing, permitting, and training required for compliance. You will also inspect crops, certify them for export, and maintain a fair and equitable marketplace through inspections and certifications in our Weights and Measures Programs.

- Receives direction from the Deputy Agricultural Commissioner and Sealer of Weights and Measures.
- May exercise functional and technical supervision over less experienced staff.
- Experience:
Two years of increasingly responsible experience in inspection and enforcement of agriculture and weights and measures programs. - License or Certificate:
Possession of five of the State certifications in agriculture and weights and measures. - Experience (ABSO III):
Three years of increasingly responsible experience in inspection and enforcement of agriculture and weights and measures programs. - License or Certificate (ABSO III):
Possession of eight of the State certifications in agriculture and weights and measures.
ABSO II: $4,672–$7,666 per month. ABSO III: $5,158–$8,464 per month. Salary range consists of 15 steps, with annual merit steps and additional merit steps after 2 years of satisfactory performance.
