Adventist Health Twin Cities invites qualified applicants for the Supervisor, Respiratory Care role. The position is full‑time and day shift. It involves supervising respiratory care services for all age groups, ensuring quality patient care, and managing staff across the department.
Job SummaryAssists in the management and coordination of respiratory care services within the organization. Demonstrates the ability to meet the needs and provide service to all age groups—from infancy to geriatrics. Supervises technicians, technologists, Respiratory Care Practitioners and ancillary personnel. Coordinates and performs duties directly involved with respiratory care procedures and directs activities of personnel using professional and supervisory discretion.
Education and Work Experience- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience:

Preferred - Five years’ clinical experience in an acute care setting:

- Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner:
Required - Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential:
Required in CA, OR, and HI - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS‑BLS OR RQIBLS) certification:
Required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS OR HS‑PALS OR RQIPALS) certification:
Preferred
- Coordinates technicians, technologists, Respiratory Care Practitioners and ancillary personnel; directs department activities and staffing assignments; reassesses needs during shifts and adjusts staff accordingly; monitors employee time and attendance.
- Monitors and evaluates unit operation for quality and efficiency; demonstrates leadership, communication, and coaching skills; evaluates staff performance; provides corrective action; conducts in‑services and develops teaching programs.
- Ensures quality improvement programs meet regulatory agency standards; performs QA audits; reviews and updates policies and procedures; reports staffing and operational challenges.
- Interfaces with vendors regarding supplies and equipment; makes purchase recommendations.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
