Overview
Orchard Hospital Medical Specialty Center is seeking a professional who works in collaboration with providers and other healthcare team members to provide medically related social and behavioral health services in an outpatient setting. Under general supervision of a licensed clinician, this individual conducts social and behavioral health assessments and services in order for patients to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.
This individual works interdependently with medical providers to provide quality healthcare to our patients.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage Family Therapy or Counseling
- Must possess an intern number for licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of California
- Maintain a valid registration/intern number with the Board of Behavioral Sciences in the State of California
- Current health provider BLS card
- Prior clinical experience as a paraprofessional is preferred
- Bilingual preferred
Must possess current driver’s license and maintain liability or comprehensive auto insurance from a California carrier.

- Gather’s data of patient history through personal intake interviews
- Performs casework services with patients and relatives through individual assessments and treatment sessions
- Provides ongoing assessment, treatment planning and treatment of all patients assigned, under the supervision of a medical provider and licensed clinician
- Participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings to review patient treatment, concerns, progress and recommendations
- Supports and enhances the patient’s emotional stability and clearly explains the nature of the diagnosis and plan of care
- Maintains cooperative professional relationships with community agencies to ensure continuum of care
- Meets documentation requirements for billing and coding
Occasional travel to attend community or agency meetings and participate in community events.
