The Massage Therapist provides tailored massage services, ensuring client comfort and satisfaction while maintaining a tranquil environment that enhances overall wellness.

• Reports to the Spa Manager or Sports Club Director

• Perform diverse massage techniques including deep tissue, hot stone, sports and customized treatments.
• Consult with members and guests to understand needs and recommend after‑care.
• Deliver outstanding customer service in a welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain accurate records of member/guest preferences and histories.
• Stay current on industry trends, pursue continuing education and participate in training and team meetings.
• Promote spa services and specials through marketing and engagement efforts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with spa hygiene standards.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation protocols for client and staff safety.
• Collaborate with spa team members to provide a seamless wellness experience.

• Assume additional tasks as needed to support club operations.
• Adhere to company, club and departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain professionalism and excellence in interactions with members, colleagues and staff.
• Follow safe working practices and encourage compliance.
• Pursue professional growth and maintain required certifications.
• Address and resolve challenges using available resources and regional or corporate support.
• Attend daily briefings and engage in required activities.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognized massage therapy program from an accredited institution.
• Valid state massage therapy license or certification per local regulations.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a resort, country club or high‑end spa.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with various massage techniques (Swedish, deep tissue, sports, therapeutic).
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology related to soft‑tissue manipulation.

• Excellent communication skills for client assessment.

• Physical stamina and strength for extended massage sessions.
• Empathetic demeanor to foster trust and comfort.

• Frequent sitting, standing, massaging and walking.
• Occasional exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, chemicals or gases.
• Squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting and bending.
• Talking, hearing, and seeing.

• Hands, massage table, oils/lotions, linens/towels.
• Massage tools such as headrest, pillow, music, etc.

• Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule.
• Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
• Availability to work weekends and/or holidays as required.
