Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! The Rite of Passage Team is hiring for the Medic / Medical Assistant at Sierra Ridge in San Andreas, California. Nestled in the Sierra foothills of California, the Sierra Ridge Campus offers short‑term residential therapeutic programs, providing individual, group, and family therapy, along with evidence‑based skill and rehabilitation groups.

The program embraces a strengths‑based approach within a least‑restrictive model and a normalized high‑school environment, creating a cohesive, supportive community for youth, integrated with Rite of Passage’s trauma‑responsive model.

Pay
:
Starting at $21.00 per hour.

• Coordinate the flow of students to be seen by the health care professionals within the program and schedule students to be seen by outside health care professionals.
• Perform daily sick calls as referred by group living staff.
• Treat all injuries, medical conditions and provide basic first aid and/or life support in the event of an emergency.
• Ensure all prescription medication is self‑administered and documented.
• Ensure all life support equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
• Maintain daily logs, complete Medical Incident Reports and communicate in a timely manner.

• Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.
• Have a desire to work with troubled teens.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent and a certification or diploma for medical assistant.
• Current state Emergency Medical Technician Certification, CNA Certification, or Medical Assistant Certification.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
• Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

• Shift A – Sunday through Wednesday: 10‑hour shift with a 2‑hour break.
• Shift B – Wednesday through Saturday: 10‑hour shift with a 2‑hour break.
