Summer 2027 Camp Host Staff

SUMMER Season is May 31st, 2027 to August 8th, 2027 with the potential to stay after summer season at an hourly rate. All Summer Positions are Seasonal Full-Time/Exempt. We require you to live on site for the dates listed.

The pay rate is $405.00 to $435.00 weekly depending on position and experience.

Overview:

The Camp Hosts collaborate with and assist the Guest Experience Coordinator in championing the overall guest experience, helping guests see, know, and experience God, while supporting the daily operations of the front office and check-in station within Thousand Pines Ministries.

Essential Functions

Facilitates the orchestration of guest events: including fostering guest relationships, maintaining healthy interdepartmental relationships, and providing guest event execution.

Assists in the preparation of guest events, gathering final details and subsequent interdepartmental communication.

Assists in the execution of guest events from check-in through to final checkout.

Reports information necessary for interdepartmental communication and guest follow-up

Additional Functions

Keeps a consistent and thorough record of information, including highlights, shortcomings, and key details for each event and group to support interdepartmental communication and necessary follow-up.

Assists the Guest Experience Coordinator with the coordination and management of TP Base and front office functions.

Maintains office cleanliness, accurately counts and handles money, and manages office supplies and resources.

Remains on site when scheduled and responds promptly to guest requests.

Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Christian camping or other ministry experience

Thorough working knowledge of Thousand Pines’ facilities, procedures, and events

Minimum of high-school diploma, higher education preferred in Business, Marketing, or Christian Ministry

Computer skills necessary for learning various programs (Google Workspace, Zoom, Sales Force, Camp Hub)

Agreement and compliance with camp Mission, Vision, Values, Staff Handbook, and Doctrinal Statement

Valid California Drivers license

Physical Requirements

Abilities sufficient to carry out the essential functions of the job – to include leaning, bending over, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, squatting, lifting, carrying, holding, and moving heavy objects

Able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time over uneven terrain

Must be able to lift, hold, carry a minimum of 50 pounds
