BILINGUAL HR Generalist (Benefits & Leave)
You are a bilingual (English/Spanish), detail-oriented
HR professional with hands-on experience in benefits administration and
California leave management. You enjoy helping employees navigate benefits and
time away while ensuring compliance and supporting a positive workplace
culture.
Location: Calistoga, CA
This Position Pays: $33–$38/hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, on-site
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
- Administer
employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability,
EAP, and 401(k) plans. - Coordinate
open enrollment, process benefit changes, reconcile insurance invoices,
and assist with ACA reporting and COBRA notices. - Manage
leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, Pregnancy Disability Leave,
workers’ compensation leave, and California paid leave programs. - Coordinate
accommodations, return-to-work plans, modified duty, and benefits
continuation during leaves. - Support
workers’ compensation claims, OSHA recordkeeping, safety programs, and
compliance training. - Assist
with recruiting, interviews, background checks, onboarding, new hire
orientation, and employment verifications. - Maintain
accurate and confidential employee records in ADP; provide payroll backup
and support J-1 and H-2B visa programs. - Respond
to employee questions, support HR initiatives, and help coordinate
employee engagement and recognition activities. - Assist
with payroll (ADP) for 200+ employees
- Bilingual
English/Spanish proficiency. - At
least 3 years of HR Generalist experience, including 2 years administering
benefits and/or leaves in California. - Working
knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, PDL, SDI/PFL, ADA/FEHA accommodations, ACA,
COBRA, and basic ERISA requirements. - Experience
with ADP Workforce Now preferred; payroll experience is a plus. - Bachelor’s
degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Intermediate
Excel skills and strong attention to detail, organization,
confidentiality, and follow-through. - Ability
to communicate benefits and leave information clearly and empathetically. - Resort,
hospitality, or spa experience and an HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or
similar) are a plus.
