Supply Chain Coordinator - FMCG

Our client, a significant player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to manage logistics and inventory for their operations based in Welkom. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth flow of goods from suppliers to customers, optimizing efficiency, and minimizing costs within the supply chain. You will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of the supply chain, including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.

This position requires a strong understanding of logistics principles and a commitment to operational excellence within the Free State region.

• Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the supply chain, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stocktakes, and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
• Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth coordination of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Monitor transportation schedules and costs, seeking opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding logistics and warehousing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any logistical issues or delays that may arise, proactively identifying potential problems.

• Proven experience in supply chain, logistics, or a related field, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, warehousing, and transportation principles.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and MS Office Suite.
• Good communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and service providers.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment in Welkom and manage multiple priorities.
