QC Inspector

Job Purpose:

Inspects finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies for conformance to company standards. Conducts routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in process and finished product, using a variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality.

• This position is for a 2nd shift only!
• Proficient in the use of Inspection tools such as caliper, micrometer, height gage, optical comparator, pin and thread gages.
• Ability to determine if components meet specifications according to a 2D drawing.
• Ability to run programmed components and follow documented procedures using the CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine)
• Able to make manual measurements using the CMM, such as hole locations and flatness
• Accept help and have the ability to learn from Senior Quality Technicians and engineering
• Document inspection results using FMP (receiving inspection reports, FA reports, NCMR)
• Post accepted components into inventory using Mass 500.
• Maintain proper part count for inventory control.
• Basic knowledge of products and production processes
• Follows Inspection Processes and procedures
• Understands all aspects of GCX quality guidelines and expectations
• Represent Quality Assurance during VOC inspection of finished goods

• Ability to read and understand complex blueprints.
• Ability to accurately measure parts using precision hand tools.
• Strong communication skills. (Written and verbal English)
• Strong attention to details.
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.)
• Basic Math & Analytic Skills.
