Certified Welder

Job Description

We have an immediate opening for a highly-skilled and certified welder. In this position, you will fabricate in our shop as well as perform on site steel erection in the field. We expect our welders to complete each job within specific deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and plans to understand project scope and specifications
• Utilize industry tools and equipment, including powered saws, hand shears, chipping knives, portable grinders, hand files, and scrapers
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles
• Weld parts in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positions
• Conduct tests to check weld quality, including hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance
• Maintain proper equipment; repair when needed
• Attention to detail is critical

Qualifications

• Certified for FCAW & 232 Inner Shield is required
• Willingness to prove your welding ability during an in-person test
• Minimum of 3 years welding experience with appropriate certifications
• Working knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
