Med Star Health Urgent Care Physician (MD - DO) - PA - NP, South (St. Mary's County)

Med Star Health is seeking experienced emergency medicine, urgent care, or family medicine physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners for urgent care locations in the South Region (Waldorf, La Plata, Charlotte Hall, California). Positions may be full‑time, part‑time, or PRN with signing bonus available for full‑time or part‑time roles.

Advanced Practice Providers will work autonomously under supportive physician mentorship. Providers are assigned to a region but can set preferences for their preferred sites.

Responsibilities: Manage acute walk‑in urgent cases and perform minor procedures, including suturing, fracture care/splinting, incision & drainage, interpreting EKGs, and wet reading X‑rays (all films reviewed by a radiologist). Utilize on‑site low‑complexity laboratory for point‑of‑care testing; most sites have a full X‑ray suite and dedicated support staff. Clinics operate 12 hours daily with variable shift lengths.

Systems & Support: Med Star Health offers extensive network support, including on‑site access to pediatric, emergency medicine, and cardiologist tele‑consultants; a referral management program facilitates primary and specialty follow‑up.
