The Ultrasound Tech performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including calibration and operation of ultrasound equipment, and coordinates patient care activities with other healthcare professionals.

• Schedule and perform ultrasound procedures with proper diagnostic scan recognition while maintaining quality assurance and improvement standards.
• Correlate ultrasound findings with patient medical history.
• Clean and maintain equipment, and ensure adequate supplies by placing orders.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational or Technical Diploma and graduation from an accredited ultrasound program required.

• Minimum of 2 years diagnostic ultrasound sonographer experience.

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technology Sonography Certification – ARRT (S) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross required.
