Associate Director, Site Supply Chain

Role:
Associate Director, Site Supply Chain at AstraZeneca Cell Therapy Operations, overseeing planning and site operations at Tarzana and Santa Monica facilities. Objectives include ensuring reliable production and supply of cell therapy products through strategic site planning, capacity utilization, and supply chain resilience. Responsibilities encompass end-to-end manufacturing planning, capacity management, change leadership for process and product introductions, and performance improvement via digital tools and governance.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Global Supply Chain teams, with a focus on optimizing inventory, throughput, and operational agility.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years or Master's with 6+ years in supply chain or operations; at least 2+ years in site-level supply chain strategy, preferably within cell therapy or advanced therapies; proficiency with ERP, demand planning, and inventory tools; strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Preferred: over 10 years industry experience, advanced degree, certifications such as APICS/ASCM, in-depth knowledge of autologous cell therapy supply chains, digital planning implementations, and GMP manufacturing environments.
