Members of the Zephyr Point Internship Program are invited to join a spiritually-grounded, living-learning community where they can grow professionally, spiritually and interpersonally. The internship program is designed for young adults who are in the early stages of their educational or vocational journey. Applications are especially encouraged from individuals between the ages of 20 and 26. Inspired by the mission of Zephyr Point, program participants will have the opportunity to experience God through education, exploration, and inspiration:
Education
- As a member of the internship program, you will have the opportunity to develop and refine professional skills in a non-profit organization. With hands-on mentorship from the Zephyr Point year-round staff, you will have the chance to build an internship experience that is tailored to your professional goals and experience.
Exploration
- Throughout the year, in addition to professional skill development, you will have ample time to focus on personal exploration and growth. As an added bonus, interns will have the chance to enjoy all the recreational opportunities the Tahoe Basin has to offer alongside other members of their cohort.
Inspiration
- Encounter God in new ways along the shores of Lake Tahoe. Interns will participate in weekly small groups engaging in topics related to spiritual life and practice, environmental and social justice, and leadership. As a member of an intentional living community, interns will be able to develop deep and meaningful relationships with their neighbors.

Dates: September 2nd, 2026 - May 28, 2027 (with the option to add on summer employment following internship conclusion).
Number of Positions: 3
Room/Board: Housing on the Zephyr Point grounds is provided for all interns participating in the Program. Interns will be eligible for daily staff lunches (when guests are on-site) and a monthly Community Dinner available to all interns and program staff.
Weekly Stipend: $450 a week with a $1,500 completion bonus at end of contract.
Work Responsibilities: As a ZP intern, you will have the opportunity to develop a wide array of professional skills with hands-on experience in many facets of camp and conference management. Each intern will have a set of "core hours" spent specifically in one department (24 hours per week). In this placement, you will be able to focus your energy on developing skills in your primary area of interest.
Placements are available in Youth Program Development, Guest Services, and Outreach and Community Engagement Intern.
The Outreach and Community Engagement Intern will work collaboratively with the Executive Administrative Assistant and Program Outreach Coordinator, to help implement the community engagement events and outreach efforts for Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center. The Intern will gain broad experience in event planning, recruitment and communication, as well as marketing and content creation for the betterment of this non-profit Camp and Conference Center.
As a member of the Guest Services team, you will gain first-hand experience with both customer service and administrative duties. You will assist with various aspects of the booking process for individual and group reservations, from a customer's first phone call to their final goodbye. You will gain administrative skills working in an office setting as well as interactive skills communicating with guests and staff via phone, email, and face-to-face.
