Alkar Human Resources is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support a fast-paced production and warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in QA/QC, production, and/or warehouse operations and be comfortable working in a hands-on environment. The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for monitoring quality control points, performing laboratory testing, maintaining QA documentation, and supporting food safety and quality programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and document quality control points on the production line, including weight, label height, and lot codes.
  • Report and document food safety and quality deviations to the production department.
  • Complete and maintain QA and food safety production reports.
  • Maintain the finished product retention program.
  • Hold and document products that are out of specification.
  • Perform routine laboratory testing, including pH, Brix, water activity, acidity titration, and viscosity.
  • Perform daily calibration and documentation of laboratory equipment.
  • Monitor and order laboratory supplies as needed.
  • Perform ATP, allergen, and gluten-free testing following sanitation procedures.
  • Scan and maintain Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and follow up with vendors when documentation is missing.
  • Download temperature data from data loggers and maintain records.
  • Prepare COAs for management review.
  • Maintain foreign material and glass breakage logs.
  • Approve and document incoming labels.
  • Perform monthly inspections related to food safety and quality.
  • Perform environmental swabbing as scheduled.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines at all times.
