The Employment and Human Services Department is currently accepting applications to fill four (4) vacancies for Social Work Supervisor II.

We are looking for someone who is:- A leader who possesses the skill of encouraging and energizing the team to attain their objectives effectively
- Proficient in demonstrating, instructing, mentoring, coaching, and providing assistance to staff in a fast-paced work environment
- Knowledgeable about Child Welfare initiatives and Risk Assessment tools
- Able to develop innovative strategies to solve complex problems and assist families
- Supervising a team of Social Worker II & III professionals, along with clerical and support personnel
- Establishing clear performance expectations, tracking and coaching staff progress, and resolving conflicts effectively
- Managing individual programs and facilitating both individual supervision meetings and group meetings
- Understanding and interpreting County, State, and Federal Child Welfare policies and protocols, and training staff on policy and protocol implementation
- Participating in inter-agency meetings and County committees relevant to Child Welfare and juvenile dependency
- Your contributions can lead to significant and meaningful changes within the Bureau and the community
- Your work is making a direct contribution to safeguarding children and assisting families in achieving their full potential
- You find joy in teaching, inspiring, and enabling social workers to do excellent work and achieve their maximum capabilities, all while providing high quality case management services
- You operate under pressure to meet compliance and Court deadlines
- You frequently implement new and changing policies at a County level
- You work with staff who may be experiencing stress, secondary trauma, and burnout
- You work with a non-voluntary client population
Required:
