Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
- Identify and diagnose acute, chronic, and complex health conditions.
- Develop individualized care plans that address patient needs, with treatment goals and expected outcomes.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and medical devices.

- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Selective Service registration required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Compliance with the IHS Employee Immunization Policy.
- Possession of a current, active, unrestricted nursing license in the U.S.
- Ability to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges.
- On‑call hours or standby duty may be required.

QualificationsTo qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of the specific position.
- Education:
A graduate or higher-level degree in nursing from an accredited program. - Advanced Practice Nurse experience: at least one year of equivalent experience at the GS‑12 grade level.
- Licensure:
Current, full, unrestricted license as a registered nurse and, for APN positions, a license in the relevant clinical specialty.
All Federal employees earn annual leave at a rate of 4, 6, or 8 hours per pay period based on length of service. This position is covered by a bargaining unit and may offer recruitment or relocation incentives. For more information, visit the IHS website.
