INTERNAL POSTING:
The Facility Grounds Worker is responsible for the care and upkeep of Winterplace park and the Wicomico Equestrian Center. This includes Buildings, landscape, and Park Facility.

• Coordinating with WEC maintenance and setting up for WEC shows.
• Upkeep will include landscape duties, trail maintenance, trash, janitorial and building maintenance.
• Assist in Park related projects as needed through-out the County.

High School Diploma or GED;
Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record, having a valid CDL;
Class A is desired but not required; CPR and First Aid Certification within 6 months of hire; NIMS Emergency Certification within 3 months of hire;
Pesticide applicator’s permit current or upon hire;
Ability to relate to the public in a polite and professional manner and to be a team player;
Must be a self-starter;
Experience in maintaining grounds and buildings;
Have a basic understanding in carpentry, plumbing, and electric repairs;
Must be able to operate grass cutting equipment, chain saws, string trimmers, sprayers, and hand tools.
