Practice with Purpose. Be Part of the Solution.
The Caravita Foundation is seeking compassionate, proficient veterinarians to join our new nonprofit spay and neuter clinic, opening at the Paws for Life People & Pet Innovation Center in Mission Hills.

Our mission is to address the animal welfare crisis at its source by expanding access to affordable, high-quality spay and neuter care.

Whether you’re an experienced high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter (HQHVSN) surgeon or a veterinarian interested in developing your skills, we’d love to meet you.

What We Offer

Flexible scheduling:
Opportunities ranging from one day per week to full-time.
Competitive compensation: $1,300 per shift, plus a bonus for performing more than 40 spay and neuter surgeries in a day.
Full benefits:
Available for full-time positions.
A focused care model: A dedicated support team helps manage client communications and pre- and postoperative care so you can focus on safe, high-quality surgery.
Hands-on training:
Training with Dr. Angelina Piccoli, an experienced HQHVSN veterinarian with over 100,000 spay & neuter surgeries under her belt, may be available to candidates who commit to at least two days per week for a minimum of one year. Training participation is subject to approval.

Your Role

Perform spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and cats using high-quality, high-volume techniques.
Assess patients’ suitability for surgery and oversee individualized surgical care.
Work closely with the veterinary team to maintain strong standards for anesthesia, pain management, and recovery.
Support an efficient, collaborative clinical environment that prioritizes patient safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

DVM or equivalent degree and an active California veterinary license.
Strong surgical fundamentals and a commitment to patient safety.
HQHVSN experience preferred; veterinarians interested in the training pathway are also encouraged to apply.
A collaborative approach and a passion for expanding access to preventive veterinary care.
