Associate Attorney – Litigation

We are seeking an attorney with at least 3 years of civil litigation experience to join our Orange County, California office as an Associate.

Our dynamic Insurance Coverage and Litigation Practice Group is known for its comprehensive approach to handling matters related to complex insurance claims analysis and representing insurance company clients in some of the most high‑stakes coverage litigation cases across the country, including cases involving defective products, mass torts, environmental contamination, habitability, transportation, professional liability and intellectual property.

The ideal candidate will have 3‑5 years of litigation experience with an interest in insurance coverage. Insurance coverage experience is not necessary for this position; we will train the right candidate for this position. This position is hybrid in our Orange County, California office. Qualified remote candidates in California will be considered.

• Handling all phases of insurance coverage analysis and civil litigation in both state and federal court.
• Regularly interfacing with clients and other counsel.
• Participating in mediations.
• Providing strategic legal advice to insurance company clients.
• Attending court hearings and oral arguments both remotely and in‑person.

• Enjoy working collaboratively in a team setting with partners, associates, paralegals, and law clerks.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be skilled in legal research and analysis.
• Have superb administrative and organizational skills.
• Be diligent, driven, and eager to learn.
• Possess the ability to work independently and take ownership of their work.

• Active bar license in California
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• At least 3 years of civil litigation experience in either state or federal court.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional writing, organizational, and advocacy skills

Salary Commensurate with experience: $130,000-$165,000 per year
