East Bay Post Acute is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Dietary Aide to join our team on a Part-Time basis.

The Dietary Aide plays an important role in supporting our dietary department and ensuring residents receive nutritious, appealing, and timely meals in a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in providing excellent service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and food service according to established menus and dietary requirements
• Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages to residents
• Deliver meals to resident rooms and dining areas as needed
• Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and food service equipment
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and infection-control procedures
• Follow residents' specific diets and meal requirements
• Assist with portioning and plating meals
• Stock and organize food, supplies, and kitchen items
• Monitor food temperatures and follow food safety guidelines
• Report resident concerns, dietary issues, or changes in appetite to the appropriate staff
• Follow all facility policies and procedures
• Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with residents, families, and staff
• Perform other dietary duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous dietary, food service, or healthcare experience preferred
• Skilled nursing or healthcare dietary experience is a plus
• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices preferred
• Dependable, punctual, and reliable
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents and staff
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties associated with food service
• Commitment to providing courteous and respectful service to residents

Compensation

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour
