• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Order and maintain inventory controls, product quality, and supervise the deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Lead a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and greatest customer experience.
• Hire, teach, train, and develop the deli team.
• Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment.
• Execute all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and ensure other team members are aware of, and following, these procedures.
• Thrive in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate with a high‑performing team.

• Be at least 18 years old; 2+ years supervisory experience preferred; strong knowledge of deli or related food service.
• Dependable and reliable, able to work a flexible schedule that changes with the business; including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to give direction, participate in a team environment.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, able to interact with customers, take special orders, and answer phones.
• Leadership ability to build, motivate, and maintain staff; knowledgeable of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Strong focus on detail, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Food Safety certification; maintain federal, state, and company regulations for product freshness, food safety, weights and measures, store safety, employee safety, refrigeration, and sanitation.
• Excellent organization and planning skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Lift/carry product horizontally or vertically up to 70 lbs., from 4” to 60”, for a distance up to 20 feet without mechanical assistance for up to 4 hours.
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift.
• Operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment; assist in maintaining all equipment in safe working condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay range for this position is $17.65 – $26.45 per hour, based on applicable experience and qualifications.
