The Smoke Shop Warehouse Clerk supports both the casino smoke shop and warehouse operations. This position provides courteous guest service, processes retail transactions, verifies age eligibility, maintains accurate cash and inventory records, receives and stores merchandise, and issues supplies to authorized departments. The position safeguards restricted products and casino assets while complying with applicable Tribal laws and ordinances, gaming regulatory requirements, internal controls, responsible retail practices, and Acorn Ridge Casino policies and procedures.

• Strong guest-service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with guests, vendors, and team members.
• Ability to verify identification and consistently enforce age-restricted sales requirements.
• Basic knowledge of retail, cash-handling, warehouse, receiving, and inventory-control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, integrity, and accountability.
• Ability to perform basic math, count change, balance transactions, and reconcile inventory and cash records.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn point-of-sale and inventory-management systems.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, internal controls, safety requirements, and established procedures.
• Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to move between retail and warehouse priorities.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard cash, restricted products, merchandise, records, and casino assets.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Retail, cashiering, warehouse, receiving, inventory, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Casino, Tribal enterprise, or other regulated-environment experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required gaming licenses, permits, or registrations.
• Forklift certification preferred and required before operating a forklift.

• Greet guests promptly and provide knowledgeable, professional service in the smoke shop.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash, credit, debit, and other approved forms of payment.
• Verify government-issued identification and age eligibility before selling tobacco, nicotine, or other age-restricted products.
• Follow all applicable Tribal laws and ordinances, internal controls, and casino procedures governing restricted-product sales.
• Maintain accountability for assigned cash banks; complete opening, closing, balancing, and reconciliation procedures; and promptly report variances.
• Stock, rotate, price, display, and secure tobacco products, merchandise, and retail supplies in accordance with approved procedures.
• Monitor product levels, expiration dates where applicable, damaged merchandise, and shrinkage concerns, and report replenishment needs or discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and guest-ready smoke shop, including counters, displays, storage areas, and point-of-sale equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips.
• Accurately record receipts, transfers, sales, returns, adjustments, and issued inventory using approved systems and documentation.
