Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Aero/Defense in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will actively patrol and monitor a dynamic aerospace and defense location. In this armed and driving role, you will help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence, conduct routine patrols, and provide exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter, including sensitive and restricted areas typical of aerospace and defense locations.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of personnel and visitors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related breaches, following established protocols.
  • Assist with emergency evacuations and other response procedures as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift.
  • Operate security-related equipment such as radios, surveillance systems, and alarm systems as necessary for the post.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns specific to aerospace and defense environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
