Healthcare Armed Security Officer
IC Security is hiring Armed Healthcare Security Officers to support hospitals and healthcare facilities. This position focuses on patient safety, staff protection, customer service, and maintaining a safe and secure healthcare environment.
Armed Officers will provide a highly visible security presence, patrol healthcare facilities, respond to security incidents and emergencies, and use sound judgment and de-escalation techniques when handling challenging situations.
What You'll Do:
- Patrol hospital and healthcare facilities
- Maintain a visible armed security presence
- Assist patients, visitors, and healthcare staff
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas
- Observe and report suspicious activity and safety concerns
- Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and disturbances
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs
- Utilize de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques
- Assist with access control and visitor management
- Protect patients, staff, visitors, and facility property
- Coordinate with healthcare staff, supervisors, and law enforcement
- Safely carry and maintain assigned firearm in accordance with company and client policies

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid California Driver's License
- Valid California BSIS Guard Card
- Valid California Firearms Permit
- 2 years of armed security experience required
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
- High School Diploma or higher
- Current Baton Permit/Card
- Current Handcuff Permit
- Healthcare vaccinations or immunizations, including TB, MMR, and Varicella
- Must pass a Live Scan background investigation and client approval process
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Must have a Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Experience:
- 1+ year of Healthcare or Hospital Security experience
- 2+ years of Armed Security experience
- Customer Service or Hospitality experience
- Military or Law Enforcement experience a plus
