Brightside Cleaning Restoration Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Water Mitigation & Contents Packout Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone with restoration experience who thrives in the field, values autonomy, and takes pride in providing exceptional service. This technician will respond to water and smoke damage calls across North County San Diego and the Lower Inland Empire, taking jobs from start to finish with professionalism and efficiency.

• Respond to active water mitigation and contents packout jobs with minimal supervision
• Execute water extraction, drying, and cleanup using proper equipment
• Perform contents packout, cleaning, and storage for water and smoke damage
• Accurately document job details, including photos, moisture readings, and notes
• Set up, monitor, and adjust equipment (fans, dehumidifiers, moisture meters)
• Build trust with homeowners through professional communication and service
• Communicate effectively with insurance representatives and project managers
• Upsell additional services by identifying and explaining homeowner needs
• Maintain clean, accurate, and compliant job files
• Participate in on‑call rotation and emergency responses

• 6+ months of experience in water mitigation/restoration
• Experience in contents packout (water & smoke) strongly preferred
• IICRC WRT certification a plus (not required)
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Relatively tech savvy, and familiar with different software. Open to the latest technology and learning with it to make an effective and efficient workplace
• Strong time management and problem‑solving abilities
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environmental conditions
• Clean California driver's license and driving history (must be insurable)
• Based in or near North County San Diego or the Lower Inland Empire
