As a Senior Operator Farm you will be responsible for executing the operational work related to the RD Farm with Open Field Crop growing and maintenance activities in an efficient and effective manner to provide the necessary support to the Breeding, Research, Operations, PD and M&S programs and projects.

• Execute work in cooperation with the Breeding, Research, Operations, PD, and M&S teams under the direction of the Esparto Farm Manager.
• Find technical solutions and improvements in the daily activities to ensure efficient and effective support to all programs.
• Ensures that Farm protocols and work practices at site conform to global EHS, RC implementation standards, Hygiene and Stewardship policies and local laws and regulations.
• Perform regular maintenance of Farm equipment, irrigation system and fields.
• Use farm facilities in a proper and safe way, following company regulations and guidelines.
• Supervise general activities in the field (e.g., planting, groundwork, irrigation, and fertilization, etc.)
• Use computer systems for irrigation, fertilization, pesticide, and operational administration tasks.

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the areas of farm, agriculture and crop management and basic computer skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Pesticide Applicators Certificate
• Experience with Crop Vegetables (plus)
• Ability to drive forklifts and agricultural machines.
• The ability to communicate in both English and Spanish. (preferred)
• Knowledge on crop management and crop growing concepts (e.g., pest control - irrigation – nutrition) measures and application.
