Pipe Fitter I

Spring Valley, CA, 91978
Duration: 6 Months (Contract to Permanent)
Shift Timing: 5:30 am - 2 pm
Note:
- Potential to convert to FT based on upcoming work
- Interviews are onsite
- We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Pipe Fitter to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- This role demands precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to determine pipe layout and installation requirements.
- Cut, thread, assemble, and install pipes and piping systems using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Install supports, valves, and fittings to ensure proper system functionality and safety.
- Conduct tests on piping systems for leaks and integrity, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Weld, solder, or glue pipe joints depending on the material and application.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair damaged piping systems.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Journeyman certification is preferred
- Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in [industrial, commercial, residential] settings.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with various pipe materials, such as PVC, copper, steel, and others.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of piping systems and components.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Welding certification is a plus
