Mobile Diesel Diagnostics at Transwest Mobile Picture your day: you fire up a fully equipped service truck, review your tickets, and head straight to a customer site. A loader is down with a hydraulic fault. You diagnose in minutes, verify the fix with a road test, and get their crew back on schedule. Then it’s off to your next call—an electrical issue on a fleet tractor—before mentoring a junior tech on best practices and closing the day with clean, accurate service notes.

Your Work, At a Glance Perform advanced service and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and farm machinery—on site and on schedule.
Diagnose complex issues using industry-standard diagnostic tools and OEM service manuals.
Handle both planned maintenance and emergency field repairs with minimal supervision while upholding safety and performance standards.
Operate cranes and other specialized gear to support heavy repairs and component swaps.
Communicate clearly with customers—explain findings, make recommendations, and keep them informed.
Document all work thoroughly and accurately.
Share your expertise: mentor entry-level technicians and collaborate with peers to elevate service quality.
Stay current on new technologies and apply them to streamline and improve repair processes.
What You Bring High school diploma or GED.
5+ years hands-on with diesel powertrains, hydraulics, or electrical systems.
Expertise with modern diagnostic tooling and service literature.
Proven troubleshooting under pressure in fast-paced, field environments.
Your own professional tool set suitable for the role.
Strong prioritization and multitasking ability.
Valid driver’s license; comfortable operating a company vehicle in a mobile capacity.
Ability to pass background checks.
Comfort lifting 50+ pounds and working indoors/outdoors.
PreferredASE certifications or OEM training (Freightliner, Detroit, Cummins).Field service/mobile repair experience.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
Experience leading projects or coordinating work on job sites.
