Overview
Under the minimum supervision of the head of the Division, Department, or Program, a non‑academic, non‑classified short‑term employee will support regular staff by performing a variety of temporary tasks.
Eligibility and Employment ConditionsNon‑academic, non‑classified short‑term employees are at‑will, are not serviceable positions, neither have entitlement rights nor are eligible for benefits. The position is intended to provide short‑term, non‑recurring support and shall not displace classified personnel.
Employees may not exceed 160 working days within a fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) and may not exceed 19 working hours per week. They may occupy only one primary assignment. Retired CalPERS annuitants may not exceed 960 working hours annually.
Representative Duties- Provide technical assistance to divisions, departments, events, and programs.

Some assignments may require a valid California driver’s license and/or completion of an accredited program or relevant certification. Continuing education, training or certification may be required. - Knowledge: dependent on the specific assignment.
