The Dispatcher/Operator is responsible for facilitating the smooth transition of guest movement from one activity to another. Candidate must have a clear and concise speaking voice which is critical to answering calls and act as dispatch for the Transportation department. They must be service oriented, a self‑starter, and have excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. They must be able to take charge and direct people while maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.

Position does require some driving.

• Answer and direct all incoming calls.
• Coordinate booking of transportation for guests, groups and employees.
• Use guest names and recognize return guests whenever possible.
• Coordinate the cleaning of the vehicles as needed.
• Maintain sign‑in log and key control for resident storage area.
• Ensure that all bill posting forms are correctly filled, posted and routed.
• Maintain key control for all transportation department vehicles.
• Coordinate and direct drivers during shift that all transportation needs are met.
• Collect all pre‑shift vehicle inspection check‑lists from drivers.
• Maintain Lexus sign‑out sheet.
• File all paperwork on a daily basis.
• Collect all driver logs for company vehicles.
• Request and schedule all non‑resort transportation needs (i.e. residents).
• Ensure staff members are aware of daily business activity, including VIP and group schedules and any other special arrangements.
• Monitor office supplies and request replacements as needed.
• Answer basic questions about area and resort and transfer callers to appropriate departments as needed.
• Must be able to take charge and direct drivers while maintaining a positive and helpful demeanor.
• Clean and maintain work area on daily basis.
• Knows, models and integrates Pebble Beach Company culture (mission, values, and standards).
• Comply with the Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California driver's license and current DMV report required.

• Second language helpful.
• Some hotel or resort experience preferred.
