Overview
Teaching Assistant – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately. These flexible opportunities are ideal for Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be supporting pupils in Callington and the surrounding areas, helping them access learning and thrive in an inclusive environment.
Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities
- Help implement behaviour strategies and support classroom management
- Support pupils with personal care needs where required
- Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Monitor and record pupil progress and communicate effectively with staff
- Previous experience supporting pupils in a school setting
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with a range of needs
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development
