People Partner

Overview

We are looking for an experienced People Partner to join our People Team and play a pivotal role in driving business performance through exceptional people leadership.

Samworth Brothers is a fourth‑generation family business that produces high‑quality own‑label products for UK retailers. With over 10,000 colleagues across modern manufacturing sites, we value teamwork, collaboration, and diverse perspectives.

• Partner with leaders to enable people plans and business priorities.
• Provide advice and guidance on employee relations matters in a fair and consistent way.
• Coach managers on performance, absence, wellbeing and capability conversations.
• Help deliver change, restructures and organisational updates when needed.
• Use people data and insights to spot trends and recommend improvements.
• Deliver engagement, inclusion and culture initiatives across the site.
• Ensure people processes follow company policy and employment law.
• Work closely with recruitment, learning and reward teams to deliver joined‑up progress.
• Coach and build confidence in managers to handle people matters well.

• Experience at a People Partner, HR Advisor or HR Business Partner level.
• CIPD Level5 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and experience managing complex casework.
• Experience coaching managers to empower them.
• Calm, practical approach to problem solving.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
