Rates: £21.35 Umbrella per hour
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday (40 Hours)
Contract Length: 12 Months with a view to go Permanent

We are recruiting a Junior Field Service Engineer to join a rapidly growing engineering organisation supporting some of the UK's most important rail infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their electrical career who wants to progress into a specialist field‑based engineering role.
Over the next 12 months, you'll receive comprehensive training designed to develop you into a skilled electrically‑biased HVAC and Rail Engineer, giving you valuable niche skills that are highly sought after within the industry.
Responsibilities- Assisting with installation and commissioning activities
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults
- Supporting planned and reactive maintenance works
- Interpreting and working from engineering drawings and schematics
- Travelling to customer sites across the UK
- Working closely with senior engineers to develop your technical expertise
You will bring experience, precision, and a strong electrical mindset. We are looking for someone with:
- Knowledge of 3phase Electrical systems, DC Control Units and a basic understanding of PLC systems (Desirable)
- Confident in reading and following electrical engineering drawings
- Candidate must be a commutable distance from Calne
- Proven electrical fault‑finding experience
- Level3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical engineering
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to pass a medical, drug & alcohol screening
