Are you a reliable, hands-on individual looking for a Stores Operative within a busy manufacturing environment? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer in Calne for a Stores Operative to join their friendly and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, takes pride in being organised, and is happy carrying out manual handling duties while supporting the smooth running of the stores department. Initially offered on a temporary basis, there is the potential for the role to become permanent for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and packing components accurately.
• Carrying out manual handling and lifting duties safely.
• Booking stock in and out using the company's computer system.
• Updating orders and pick sheets.
• Printing labels and delivery documentation.
• Liaising professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient stores area.
• Supporting the wider production team when required.

The successful candidate will:

• Be reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
• Have previous experience within a stores, warehouse or logistics environment.
• Be comfortable with manual handling and lifting.
• Be PC literate and confident using computer systems.
• Have good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Be organised with the ability to prioritise workloads.
• Enjoy working as part of a team whilst also being able to work independently.
• Have a positive, proactive attitude and a strong work ethic.
