Yard & Plant Supervisor £35,000pa Calne Full-time Permanent Do you have experience supervising teams? Do you have experience operating mobile plant? If you're an experienced supervisor who enjoys a hands-on role and is confident overseeing people, plant and day-to-day site operations, this could be an excellent opportunity to join an established business. We are looking for a Yard & Plant Machinery Foreman to take responsibility for the smooth running of a busy site, ensuring operations are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with company and regulatory requirements.

This is a practical, hands-on position where you'll be responsible for supervising a team while also supporting the operation of fixed and mobile plant and ensuring the site remains safe, organised and productive.

The role:

Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities across the site Support site operatives, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently Monitor site standards and ensure operational procedures are followed Operate authorised mobile plant and ensure machinery is used safely and correctly Assist with the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of fixed and mobile plant Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental and waste management requirements Maintain accurate site records Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience supervising or leading a team within a hands-on operational environment is essentialt Confident operating mobile plant and machinery is essential Current NPORS, CPCS or equivalent plant certification Good understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail Confident communication skills and the ability to give clear direction to a team Practical approach to problem-solving and the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities Comfortable using Microsoft Office and completing operational records Excellent attention to detail Reliable, proactive and willing to get involved in the day-to-day running of the site This is a hands-on supervisory position , so you should be comfortable spending time out on site, working alongside operational teams and taking responsibility for maintaining high standards across the facility.
