Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis and kept on file for Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and Spring 2026 semesters. Moves to other pools are not considered.

• Provide academic instruction through lecture, lab, or performance courses.
• Develop, assess, and evaluate cognitive, communication, and higher‑order thinking skills of students in classroom and distance settings.
• Advise students regarding programs of study, other institutions, and study skills.
• Evaluate student performance against course objectives and learning outcomes; provide timely feedback.
• Plan and organize instruction based on approved course outlines to maximize student learning.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, academic progress, curriculum, and learning outcomes.
• Select instructional materials in collaboration with discipline faculty; order materials through campus bookstore.
• Revise and update course content and materials to reflect current theory and industry developments.
• Update syllabi and collaborate with faculty to assess and revise measurable performance indicators.
• Participate in curriculum and program development, committees, conferences, and articulation activities.
• Provide work direction to others and perform related duties as assigned.

• Master’s degree in TESL, TESOL, applied linguistics with a TESL emphasis, linguistics with a TESL emphasis, English with a TESL emphasis, or education with a TESL emphasis.
• OR bachelor’s degree in TESL, TESOL, English with a TESL certificate, linguistics with a TESL certificate, applied linguistics with a TESL certificate, or any foreign language with a TESL certificate AND master’s in linguistics, applied linguistics, English, composition, bilingual/bicultural studies, reading, speech, or any foreign language.
• OR equivalent credentials as defined by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors.
• All coursework must be from a recognized accredited institution. Foreign transcripts must be evaluated by a recognized agency.

Part‑time faculty with classroom assignments are paid between $2,408 and $3,108 per semester for a 10% load. Salaries are governed by the collective bargaining agreement with the Ventura County Federation of College Teachers, AFT Local 1828.
