We are looking for a skilled Engineering Technician to help our team in the design, installation, and maintenance of cutting‑edge agricultural systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with expertise in drafting and building, and managing agricultural projects.

This role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that our systems run efficiently and meet industry standards while driving continuous improvement in our operations.

• 1. Project Design and Management:
• a. Help with the design and engineering of new greenhouse and irrigation systems, ensuring they meet operational and environmental requirements.
• b. Provide technical assistance in the development of project proposals, timelines, and budgets.
• c. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess project scope and specifications, ensuring that all designs meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
• d. Perform feasibility studies and provide engineering solutions to address any project challenges.
• 2. Installation and Equipment Management:
• a. Oversee the installation and setup of greenhouse structures and irrigation systems.
• b. Help troubleshooting, repair, and upgrading of irrigation and greenhouse equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system efficiency.
• c. Manage the commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper installation, testing, and operational readiness.
• d. Help implement preventive maintenance programs for all irrigation and
• e. Ensure adherence to safety, quality control, and environmental standards in all engineering activities.
• 3. Sustainability and Efficiency:
• a. Advocate for sustainable design principles in all projects, focusing on water conservation, energy efficiency, and minimizing environmental impact.
• b. Evaluate and implement new technologies or techniques that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of greenhouse and irrigation systems.
• 4. Vendor and Client Relations:
• a. Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure project success, including procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
• b. Communicate effectively with clients regarding project status, technical challenges, and project deliverables.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of plant production process and developing/documenting SOP
• Ability to break down complex challenges into strategic priorities, analyzing pros/cons, cost/benefits, and risks/opportunities to achieve optimal outcomes
• Navigates ambiguity and makes sound decision with imperfect information
• Identifies, articulates, and communicates ways to improve and promote operational efficiencies, and product quality

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Agriculture or related discipline is required
• 5+ years of experience in Horticulture, prior cannabis experience is a plus
