Are you passionate about both the technical and sales side of the business?
Do you have hands-on experience in quality control, product development, and customer service? If so, Rennsteig Tools invites you to apply for our Technical Sales position.
In this dynamic role, you’ll blend simple sales tasks with technical responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and maintain customer relationships through phone and email communication
- Prepare and send special quotes (prototype development), ensuring accurate pricing and product information
- Provide technical product guidance and respond to technical customer inquiries
- Collaborate with the internal team to align customer needs with product solutions
- Perform quality tests on Rennsteig tooling (e.g., cross-sections, pull-out tests, electrical resistance tests) hands-on
- Implement incoming and outgoing inspection for materials, components, and finished goods (Quality Control)
- Fill out test reports and calibration reports
- Provide input on solution/prototype development and client requirements
- Investigate customer complaints (RMA returns) and support other technical tasks
- Utilize 3D printing to perform prototype tests— hands-on
- Customized hardware development and reverse-engineering services from existing products (hands-on)
- Train new and existing customers concerning products
- Develop, documents, and file clear, concise, and effective technical communication materials (manuals, internal SOP’s …)
- Support the onsite Drawing management on the shop floor
- Look for Optimizing CNC programs in cooperation with the team
- Basic knowledge of electric cables and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, maintenance, and quality control.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Able to read blueprints
- Basic expertise in CNC and manual machine shop techniques (prototype / R&D capacities)
- Manufacturing experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills are required
- Ability to work well independently
- English is required/German and or Spanish language skills are a plus.
