Overview
Supplier Quality Engineer – Camarillo, CA. This position may require 20% travel. Domestic travel only; travel expenses are covered.
Must HaveMust have:
Root cause analysis, statistical analysis, PFMEA, Six Sigma tools, supplier quality audit experience, bachelor’s degree, APQP, PPAP.
- Work with Supplier functions to develop PFMEA, Control plans and statistical plans (Cpk’s). Ensure project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract.
- Advance Zero Defect culture utilizing advanced Quality tools such as statistical analysis, PFMEA, 8D corrective action.
- Create/Maintain PFMEA, Control plans documentation using enterprise platform to ensure compliance to Parker standards.
- Perform virtual & onsite supplier audits as needed.
- Work with Procurement to qualify NEW suppliers.
- Responsible for Quality Assurance of New Product introductions to Suppliers.
- Coordinate with Supplier Quality team on all initiatives relating to supplier quality performance.
- Develops Supplier APQP/PPAP documentation as part of supplier qualification and product introductions.
- Develops Supplier Risk mitigation plans for parts moves.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications & work instructions.
- Hands-on expertise in measurement methods & tools.
- Data analysis & mining – Pivot charts.
- Root cause analysis / problem solving.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
- Supplier quality audit experience.
- APQP/PPAP experience.
- US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
- At least 5 years’ experience in demonstrated process improvement success; proven accomplishments utilizing Lean tools/methodologies;
Structured Problem Solving, 5S, Mistake-Proofing and process capability tools required to drive the continuous improvement culture into the organization. - 4+ years’ experience as a Quality Engineer in Aerospace.
- BS degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related job experience.
