Mazak CNC Machinist

We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a Mazak CNC Machinist to join a leading Company located in the Camarillo, CA surrounding area.

$24 - $34

Operates various conventional and / or numerically controlled machining centers on semi-complex jobs on CNC machines, like lathes, 3 & 5 axis, mills, etc.

Works from blueprints, sketches, planning sheets, verbal instructions, and / or engineering, tooling, or equipment information.

Contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.

Works with limited guidance in a team environment.

Basic Hiring Criteria

High school diploma or equivalent.

Heavy experience in machine setup.

Machining experience with heavy emphasis on Program Set Up (minimum 5 years of machining experience in general, 2 of those years must have been with a MAZAK machine, and at least 1 year must have been independent / unsupervised responsibility to set up the MAZAK machine).

Prior experience with CNC machines such as:

• 3-axis lathes
• 5-axis lathes
• Mill machines (minimum 5 years experience)

Reads and follows blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.

Has working knowledge of machine shop mathematics, which may include trigonometry.

Able to effectively apply lean initiatives (KAIZEN is a bonus).

Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
