Temporary Assignment with Potential for Full-Time Hire
A growing food manufacturing organization is seeking a Part-Time Food Safety Coordinator to support food safety and quality compliance initiatives within a production environment.
Responsibilities- Maintain and update food safety programs and related documentation
- Monitor operations to ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections of food handling, storage, sanitation, and facility conditions
- Manage logs, corrective actions, customer complaints, and supplier records
- Support internal audits and third-party inspections
- Assist with employee food safety training and guidance
- Partner with leadership to maintain and improve food safety systems
- HACCP Certification
- SQF Certification
- Experience with in a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Food or beverage manufacturing experience
- Quality Assurance or Food Safety experience
- Audit preparation and inspection support experience
- SQF program exposure
- Monday through Thursday
- Flexible start time between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM
- Flexible end time
- Approximately 32 hours per week
Qualified candidates must possess both HACCP and SQF certifications to be considered.
Required Qualifications and Skills- Maintain food safety programs and related documentation in a food manufacturing environment.
- Conduct inspections of sanitation, storage, food handling, and facility conditions.
- Support audit readiness, corrective actions, customer complaints, and compliance records.
- Partner with leadership and production teams to maintain and improve food safety systems.
- HACCP Certification is required.
- SQF Certification is required.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant food safety, quality assurance, or food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment is required.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and documentation practices.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with production, quality, and leadership teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to support employee food safety training and guidance.
- Food or beverage manufacturing experience.
- Quality Assurance or Food Safety experience.
- Audit preparation and inspection support experience.
- SQF program exposure.
