The base pay range is $19.00/hr - $22.50/hr

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy and perform other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist with and coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers in the operation of pharmacy systems and cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valued customers.

• Under the supervision of the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state, federal, and company policy. Comply with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and checking for potential interactions. Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies and procedures related to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
• Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policies during all applicable prescription dispensing activities.
• Register sales on assigned cash register and assist customers in locating products; handle cash as required.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist and process (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third-party prescription services; perform other clerical duties as assigned.
• Assist with inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, storing shipments, and safeguarding company assets; file claims for discrepancies or damaged goods involving Rx drugs.
• Assist pharmacist in administering clinical services as required, including collection and labeling of samples and coordination with clinical services and external providers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local medical professionals to support growth opportunities.
• Ensure the Pharmacy Department is stocked, clean, and orderly; maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Earns and maintains PTCB certification through the designated program and/or state requirements; otherwise, earns PTCB certification as a condition of promotion to senior technician.
• Attends training and completes continuing education credits; maintains knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math and computer skills; ability to fill prescriptions accurately (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB certification.
